Main principles of Aqua Asia ozone generators

When a molecule of O2 is exposed to ultraviolet sunlight, the activity levels of the individual atoms will be increased due to the absorbed energy.
If the level is high enough, the O2 will split into two free O atoms. The extra energy is released as a photon of lower energy in the blue wavelength, which is why the sky is blue. Most of the oxygen atoms will recombine into more O2. However, some of the O atoms will glom onto an O2 and the result is, of course, O3, Ozone. The third atom of oxygen is very loosely bound to the other two O atoms, which results in a very unstable molecule. Consequently an O3 molecule will actively seek something with which the loosely bound third atom can combine and thereby return to a more stable state. Of course O2 is also an oxidizer but not nearly as powerful as the much more unstable O3.

Ozone is a special activated form of oxygen. Normally, 2 atoms of oxygen form an oxygen molecule; contrary to this, ozone consists of 3 atoms of oxygen. Once this molecule is released into water, waste or air, new reaction partners are needed.

Ozone is produced by passing ambient air or, in bigger applications, pure oxygen through one or more self contained Corona Discharge Units. These units are able to produce from 50mg/h up to several hundred grams per hour. In the process, oxygen molecules are automatically disassociated from the air and by electrical charge transformed into highly Active Oxygen Radicals. This activated Air Mix, when comes in contact with any kind of contamination, reacts with the pollutant, discharge them and itself, breaking down the pollutant. Ozone in the process, reverts back to oxygen. Therefore ozone, when reverting back to oxygen, leaves no harmful build up, no taste, no odour, nothing toxic, just water is left.

Ozone is the strongest available oxidizing agent for all kinds of waste and water treatment and on the other hand ozone is also the safest oxidant to handle by mankind. Ozone is absolutely non-toxic in the environment, as it consists of only of three atomic oxygen's and does not add any toxic substance into the water or air.
